A guy at my work wants to get rid of the union? If this happends can the company do whatever they want to the employees, like cut wages or benifits? Or are their labour laws against this?

[color=blue]Hi Aubie3,

Without your union, all of the workers covered under the contract become 'At Will Employees' basically meaning you are at the will of the Employer. Yes, the Employer would be completely within it's legal rights to change any and all conditions of your employment at it's discretion. I would strongly urge your coworker to find an alternate way to deal with his frustrations in regards to what he believes to be shortcommings of the Union (i.e. run for an office or proposed rule changes during membership meetings, etc.)

Fraternally,

Dustin
