I am completely new to the concept of a union, I am a novice at best. But I would like some information on forming a union, or getting others in my company to join a local union. I work in the oem auto parts supply industry. They treat us all terribly, and we desperately need a union. Could somebody steer me in the direction of reading material, or reccomend someone for me to speak to.

[color=blue:a724b63a7e]Hi Libertymarch1776,

In addition to our site, here at Unions.org, having a great deal of information in regards to unions, you may also like to visit the AFL-CIO site, http://afl-cio.org. Based on the type of work you perform and the industry which you're in, I recommend considering the United Auto Workers, http://uaw.org, and/or the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, http://www.teamster.org as well.

Please consider posting about your organizing experience in our new site feature, http://www.myunionspace.com. Thank you for the opportuntity to address your question. If we may be of further assistance in regards to this, or another issue, please contact us again.

Fraternally,
Dustin

Hi uniondawg500,

Thank you for conveying your concern in regards to a site feature which had previously been available on our site; It is my understanding that the intention is to reintroduce this feature when glitches are addressed.

Fraternally,
