Per web site "http://www.pbs.org/moyers/journal/07312009/watch.html"
20,000 citizens of our great nation are dropped from there medical insurance at times when they need it the most. That is disgraceful and horrible. People seek insurance for protection. Insurance provider should not be able to drop us to save money.

Government organizing are providing medical assistance via Medicare, medicade and VA benefits. Not to mention active governmental workers local, state, and federal from armed service members to your local teachers are provided means for health care. Whom is paying for that health care? Could it be us via taxes? How about your fortune 500 company's? Could it be the public (You and I) are paying for medical coverage via overhead cost worked into the price of the products purchased? If you are purchasing health care without the aid of government or a private employer? Congratulations. I wish everyone could afford their own policies. Especially those 6 million or so men and women that recently lost their jobs. If you do not support getting everyone medical coverage and you are not paying for insurance without the supplement provided via government or small/ large corporations; You are a hypocrite.

What if you or I lost our jobs? What if you or I lost our jobs to a medical condition? Medial cost are bankrupting families. That means a hard life has become harder. You now have an economically challenged person with bad credit trying to cover the cost of living for her and her family. How much could you afford when every thing via credit has increased substantially? If you can get a car loan, it is going to be expensive. If you can get home loan, it is going to be expensive. If cannot get a home loan due to credit, you may not be able to be qualified to rent an apartment. Where is that going to put you and your family? Transportation and housing cost are a high percentage of the family budget with excellent credit. Those without sufficient fund and poor credit have to be financial shackled. For the families that can afford the needed policy, that is great, but be wary and plan for if and when the insurance company drops you at a time of need.

If your are part of an employment system (public or private) that has their medical insurance supplemented, shame on you for denying the opportunity to those 47million ish people that need coverage. Everyone is not covered in the emergency room. What about those who cannot get into the emergency room coverage? Are you ok with that, I am not. Who picks up the costly bills from patient that can not pay? You and I. The number of 47 million uninsured has to be higher with the unemployment rate continuing to rise.

We need lower medical cost and coverage for everyone. In order for that to happen, the system needs to become unified and efficient. We need electronic documentation managed via a secure location, via one system where multiple medical facilities and organization have access and update authorization to communicate efficiently with patient, insurer, and medical providers. The insures have the system, it seems they are using it to limit knowledge and cost by dropping high risk customers. The United States of America is a leader in many things. We have the knowledge, managerial capabilities and technology to make it happen. The question is do we have the will power? Make it happen. Support the cause. Keep the above video link circulating.
