It's our belief that the commercial printing industry will mostly disappear as a local service within the not-too-distant future. The days of brick-and-mortar, limited options, and the "good old boys" down at the printshop are coming to an end. Replacing it will be highly advanced Internet-based systems that streamline the process from order placement to order delivery.

The owner started in 1957 as a trainee at a conventional printshop making 50 cents per hour. 30 years, and tens of thousands of jobs later, he founded a large-scale service bureau. As such, we are very heavy in the electronic prepress end of the business, which includes over 30 Macs and PCs, six powerful Rampage raster image processors, shelves of servers, a dedicated data only T1 line, and the latest direct-to-plate and proofing technology.

PRINTINGPros.com now provides high quality color printing in the short to medium run color-printing market. Our employees specialize in much more complicated work than other online printers. We have had long experience with irregular electronic files, color issues, and non-standard requests. We are located a stone's throw from the San Francisco Bay in scenic Northern California. The sales office, customer service, electronic prepress, and proofing are in Emeryville, California at the base of the San Francisco Bay Bridge. The printing, bindery, and finishing is in the low rent part of Oakland, California.

Highly advanced offset presses. We feel that conventional offset presses provide the most efficient method of producing consistently high quality work. We use Komori and Heidelberg sheet-fed four and six color offset presses.
One digital press. We understand that some jobs need one-day turnaround and we use it for special circumstances. The digital press that we have is a brand new Docucolor 8000, a huge step up from our competitors' digital quality.
Fuji Direct-to-Plate 200 Line Screen on every job. For extra crisp edges and smooth life-like images.
No rush charges. We will not put your job on the back burner to expedite someone else's job. Once your job is in line at the pressroom, nobody goes ahead of you. Most of the time you will get your job before you need it. Depending on workload, your job might get printed the same day you give us the go ahead. We can only do so much while maintaining our high levels of service and quality. We will not sacrifice our craftsmanship for anybody. There is only one level – the best we can do.
Multitude of paper choices. No limit to the paper type your job gets run on. We do not gang run.

We don't gamble with mediocre equipment. All of our equipment is among the finest in the world. Our state-of-the-art computers, prepress equipment, and printing presses are updated regularly to keep pace with the latest industry technology. This is one way we can be sure that we only produce work of the highest quality.

Graphic Design Services

Our graphic design capabilities are limited. We are not artistic. Much of our work requires, changes, limited typesetting, or updating. Design is not our strong point. We know when a job looks bad. If it is particularly hideous, we will mention it to you in the mildest of terms. We are in general referred to as "technoids". Talanted artists we are not. Experienced we are.
